 You can think of Google Drive as hard disks with you everywhere - Google Drive lets you store everything and share anything. That's where personal storage files, folders and Google documents that you can access from any web browser or any device installed Google Drive (Laptop, Pc, Iphone, Smartphone ...)
Google offers free 15GB of storage, which is shared for the Gmail service, Google Drive and Google+ Photos. The reason I recommend using Google Drive for backup image is because the photos in Google+ Photos section( under 2048x2048 pixel capacity) will be stored free of charge without regard to the original 15GB capacity. Like Dropbox, you can access Google Drive application on your computer by a web browser. The data deleted from Google Drive will be put in the trash and "anchor" in there until you delete or restore them.
