Builtin 11th century, Rani Ki Vav or Queen’s Stepwell is
one of the impressiveness of India that have been existed. Archaeologists
believed that Kani Ki Vav temple had been built by Udayamati Queen of Bhimde
royal disnasty from 3rd BC. With special design, almost temple had
been flooded in silt and Saraswati’s water in hundred years. This is a favorite
place of tourist when travel to India
In 1980, archaeologists had excavated the temple and restored it
in order to see those special carved
Rani Ki Vav was desighed with
special underground architecture. With the length of 64 meters, the width of 20
meters and the depth of 27 meters, this temple have 7 undergorunds. Inside is
500 reliefs had being carved very skillfull.
In the last floor of the temple,
there is a little gate lead to a secret way with 30 kilometers walk to Sidhpur
city. This way is designed like an exit way for the King and royal in case the
emperor fell.
The temple is being
admitted to be International Heritage by UNESCO in 22/6/2014.
